Like seriously. 5 Assaults vs 0 Assaults. The only upside to that was that 3 of them completely ignored me and I just kept hammering them with my 2 UAC/20s (which thankfully didn't jam a lot).

PGI does not care about such miniscule details.

Good effort. Congrats!

900 damage 1 kill feels bad man. Seems like the MM nearly got it right though

I had a similar match lately with the enemy havenig no assaults. Their lights hammered away our assaults pretty well and they push into our lines with the rest of their mechs to distract us.
We won the game but it was very close. About 12:9 12:8? and as one of the survivers I have to say that I was not only heavly damaged but also my teammates with haveing lost either one or more limbs.
In the end I think that it was a good game, rarely get my heard pumping like that in an MWO match at all.
So yes it would be nice if the weightes are distributed more evenly but it dosn't mean that a team with less of a certain weighclass can't pull their own weight (no pun intendet).

Match was close enough --> working as intended

Alpha lance doesn't count, it's a premade. They can bring whatever they want, it doesn't count against any limits.

Willard hit the nail on the head. You've got at least a 3-man on the enemy team, and the matchmaker counts them all as "Tier 1, nothing else matters".

Yet that's the closest match I've seen since my return.
Seems like it's working

1/1/1/1 for the premade would soften the tonnage in game quite a bit

That's the primary factor in the unbalanced teams. If the premade drops in lights, you run the risk of not having any assaults on your side. Adding weight distribution to the number of things the "solo queue" Matchmaker has to take into consideration with regard to premades is simply too much. They'd have to wait until a group had specific open slots for their choices.
The next factor is how the premade group's PSR is added to the mix. Us solos are easy. We're "Tier Whatever." That whole +/- 2 thing makes sense, even if the MM tends to be drunk most of the time. But groups aren't counted as individuals. They're not even an average of what makes up that group ( two T1s and two T5s should put that group as an average T3, but it doesn't work that way).
That's just how groups screw it up. The "new Matchmaker" after the PSR reset has it's own problems that the group thing just adds to.
Don't forget that even if neither side has a premade, weight matching is one of the factors it's allowed to loosen up to put a match together. That and the whole +/- 2 Tier level thing are the throttles it opens up when the population is low.
