Do not know if any one watches these guys. They make videos, relating to tech, video games. How things are. But this one is the actual level, and I am sure many can relate it to MWO. "Just a game?" I know in DCS it can be a job, but can be fun. MWO can be a job from others during rounds. We seen, hear it during and after a round. These guys are a laughter. Hope you guys have a laugh. It is needed a lot here. :-)

Only grindy if you're trying to run 2+ accounts simultaneously. I simply decided that my main account is the priority between the two and my alt is only played long enough to complete events.

MWO is not as nearly as bad for grinding as some of the other FTP and triple A games I've played out there. At least some of the events are generous with GSP rewards which can be globally applied to any mech that needs grinding. I managed to completely skill out my Summoner and threw a few dozen into my Warhammer IIC Maul.

grind sucks early on when you dont own anything, and it gets less suckey the more stuff you get (unless you are playing pokemech in which case it never stops sucking until you catch em all). but it does feel like a job, especially certain events that really make you play a lot of games.

My problem with the game is that there aren't enough things to spend cbills on if you don't play pokemech. I wish I could buy a hot pink custom drop ship that would deliver me to the battlefield while playing Flight of the Valkyries.

It's only a job if you get paid currency you can spend on bills like rent or car payments.

And Solaris, once you have the mechs and skill to engage in it, is a massive source of GXP. I cash out half a million or so of GXP each season, at well over 1 million stockpiled right now.

Putting on my evil sales hat: the MC jump for vanity items, I think, overlooked potential for C-Bill sinks leading to MC purchases. Set that warhorn, decal or bolt-on at C-Bill price points that are doable for oldhands but might eventually empty coffers enough for $6.95 US to sound reasonable in a cash crunch.

Hey, now, there are plenty of Hunchbacks, Firestarters and other diamond-in-the-rough 'Mechs for you to showcase in!

Game has flaws, but I never really thought it was all that grindy. There is no progression towards better vehicles like in world of tanks and other similar games, so in some sense you only need one skilled up mech to be on equal grounds with everyone else, and I guess you need 8 for faction play, that doesn't take that long and imo its really hard to argue that is a grindy game.

Thankfully, that's one aspect of WoT that MWO doesn't parallel...
If players had to work up to assaults the same way as WoT, like they had to have lights, mediums, heavies, then assaults (direwolf = king tiger / is3?) ...and the lower tier matches are just 12v12 fleas+locusts...I know I would've quit a loooong time ago.
