On the home screen we have a widget to convert XP to GXP quickly for MC. How about we have another one of the same kind to convert XP to SP for C-Bills?

Not sure how other players do it, but being a new player, I unlock more nodes every few battles on my new mechs. The reasons being:
– I earn enough XP and C-Bills to do that every few battles
– nodes pay off immediately (as far as I understand)
– I did not unlock all nodes, yet.
– it's a fun activity to explore skill tree (and kinda 'upgrade' my mech)
– it's a short-term goal for me: to go battle to earn XP to unlock nodes

Currently, to do this, I have to do the following clicks, one by one:
1. Mechlab
2. Skills
3. Add SP
4. "+" button by the number of SP points
5. Ok
6. Ok
7. All desired nodes
8. Apply changes
9. Ok

Isn't that a bit too much, hm? Posted Image

PS: and a shorter way to 'Skills' would complement this feature very nicely!

Not really, you still have to go in and select what you want to change anyway.

Also, I would advise selecting your nodes and such first, without spending the skill points or even buying them, then going back to loadout to see the impact they would have, and possibly using testing grounds to test it depending on the skills you're thinking about. Then if everything checks out, go back and buy the needed skill points and make the changes.

Indeed. This is espacialy usefull when you new to the game but also overall to get a feeling for the different nodes.

C'mon. I never asked for any advice on how to operate the skill tree. I know how do that, okay?

What I am talking about is the amount of clicks to achieve the result. It's a clear objective UI/UX metric. And what I suggest, would reduce this list of 9 actions by 2 or 3 entries.

At the very least it would remove the necessity to click 'Add SP' button every time, and then close the panel with 'Ok' click. If we also get a one-click way into 'Skills', this will also remove one point. (and we could make it yet another point less if we removed the confirmattion dialog after the 'Apply points', because XP and C-Bills are easy to earn, and no skills are completely useless, because you can always change the loadout).

The current routine is good for a player who's got a 100k GXP and 9999kkk C-Bills. In this case one just goes to the 'Skills', makes a desired skill build and then pays for all, once. But there's a different case: the people like me, who do the buying routine every few battles, because we only started the game. And this feature would make it ~30% easier for them all.
