New player here. If you buy a paint color, you keep it forever and can use it on any mech, but if you buy a camo pattern you have to keep buying them for each mech? It's very expensive and it seems like a step too far in monetization of cosmetic items.

This reminds me of Planetside 2's microtransactions in that camo colors are universal, but similar cosmetic items between vehicles have to be bought multiple times.

Please change this, given that camo plays little part in gameplay and gets worn away in combat anyway!

Thank you for reading.

While I doubt that we see a change in that regard...how about a middleground that a camo pattern is bought for the entire chassis line instead of a single mech?

Also if you never want to change your camo you can buy them as a "one time use" item. Far cheaper BUT when you change the pattern to something else its lost and you have to buy it again.

I have lots of mechs where I never bothered to change my camo after the initial purchase so a one time use is fine for me.
Also you can win MC with events and if you are good there is quite a good amount to be won.

Should you want to change your camos around a lot then you have to buy them at full price.

Worst case scenario...since the pattern dosn't matter most of the time...you can still go stock green and tell people you are using Eridani Light Horse camo !

PS: If you ever want inspiration or look for some more lore friendly stuff

Um... that's how it is in the game right now and since at least 2017?
Edit: Am I missing sarcasm now? Posted Image

No you are not missing anything. I only use "one shot" pattern and those are not for the entire lineup but only the selected chassis.
Since I mostly have only one mech of each type I frankly never noticed that the others are for the entire lineup. ^_^
