Even if they had the right people with the right ideas....money is still the problem for PGI.
MWO, from what I understand, dosn't generate a profit anymore. Its more or less +/- zero income.
So if you want to justify work beeing put into the game, at this point, you need a next to 100% chance of makeing back that money or you need to take money from some other projects, like MW5 or....I don't know if PGI does some other work beside those two...and redirect it to MWO.
From a pure buisness standpoint that is hardly justifiable and at the worst case could kill your company.
Then we have the point that even with the right people and ideas, MWO needs tons of stuff to be worked on to get back to the money printing track. So much that I would say it would be cheaper to create MWO 2.0 then trying to fix all the problems of the current system.
Sadly PGI isn't communicating much with us. When Paul came out with the PSR changes and started to ask the community I hoped that this would a slow beginning of PGI opening up but since then it seamed to have gone back to the status quo of silence.
On the other hand I can understand it...the amount of salt the community throws at PGI is mindblowing and I think that is what literly happend. They opend up and got so much salt that they went back undert their rock and cried inside.
I think both sides are at fault here. Lots of salty people and PGI also not listening correctly.

Sounds fair. PGI did pull resources from MWO to facilitate the launch of MW5. Even though they claimed they wouldn't, but it was understandable.
Time to pay those resources back.

Question is...how much is there left if any. They are still working on MW5 and its DLC and patch.
Also, concidering who they have left from the old team...it might be better to build MWO 2.0 based on the work they have done with MW5 then trying to update MWO.

If they did that from the start they may not be in this mess and be World of Mechs instead.
Bit late as the last water drains from the bath tub. Learn don't let it happen again. Probably not enough to save MWO now.
The mech pack effect made one a complacent developer.

What criterion are you going to use to say who can group and who can't? They play in comp? So do tier 4s and 5s. They can't group now? They're tier 1? Ok, we all make alts. Now what? YOU may be able to tell whose 1% and who isn't, but MM can't. It never could and it ain't gonna start now.
You can't tell the 99.9% players? We have stats.... You could make it as simple as dont' allow more than 2 tier1 players on a single team. If they make alt account they will hit tier1 in 10 hour or less They will always have to run trial mechs. This in itself would help balance.
Over all doesnt matter they're not going to change anything as this game is almost gone.
