The Snub Nose PPC is one of the better choices for IS builds; its relatively under utilized. Because its only 6 tons, one can fit two pretty easily on a lot of different mechs and have 20 pin-point damage alpha (essentially an ammo-free, heat intensive AC/20).

Grasshoppers, Riflemen, Catapult K2s, Blackjack 3s, Raven 2Xs, the Urbanmech R63, the Awesome 8Q, Vindicators, Black Knight 7s are all great platforms for dual SNPPCs. One of the Spider and Locust variants have a hilariously quirked energy cooldown, and have the ability to run a single fast SNPPC.

IIRC I like to pair 2SNPPC with an AC20. Can hurt quite a lot but its hot and you have to manage the cooldown well.

Yeah, and thanks for saying this. The Warhammer 6R is really friendly to 2x SNPPCs. I've found that 2x SNPPCs and an LB20-X is also a fun combo, but the slot requirement is a major pain.

Using an LB20X, though loses the pin-point damage, it's a lot cooler and converges better. I you're close enough, the spread would be less detrimental.

You do full damage on impact compared to beam weapons, thus you can focus damage quite effectively while reducing face time. Thus they are hotter than energy weapons.

Indeed the LBX is technicly better. Still I prefere the pinpoint damage and that you have the option to do the full damage over a bit further range. I have just to often seen the AC20 kill people where the LBX didn't. In combination with the SNPPC its the 40 DMG you can do to one unlucky guy that makes it so attractive.

If you would ask me if I prefere the LBX10 or AC10, then I would tend more to the LBX.

Do you guys bother with a Light PPC just to negate ECM?

Do all PPCs negate Stealth Armour upon hitting the Enemy Mech?

I think I have one or two mechs maybe that use LPPCs. I loved them when they had a lower cooldown but the current version. Hardly use them anymore except for those one or two mechs.
