No Vindicator pride for anyone?

I think we can all take it as 'read' that the Vindi is our House's 'mech of choice. (At least during the long, dark centuries of the Succession Wars . . .)

And for good reason!

(It's by far my personal favourite - been playing with it [the -1R] on the Tabletop since '95 - :) )

Who's gonna bet which assault mech the Confederation will get at the start of MWO? My bet is on the Victor. Yes, I know, its more likely for Davion, but the mech is manufactured by HildCo on St. Ives, which gamewise still belongs to the CC.

When I look at it, it is just a bigger Vindicator. How can that be a mech named after the Davion? :)

Though in Victors case it was obviously wishful thinking by his parents. Urbanmech might have suited better. :P

my point exactly! :)
Although I would not be suprised if there was an awful lot of Victor-Love in the Capellan side. No First Prince (except perhaps Katherine Steiner-Davion) has helped the Confederation so much. Thanks Vic!

The Victor if decked out correctly....is a great mech! It was popular in our league games.

Bummer no Thunder......
guess a Victor is close, I will miss the gladiator helmet, ultra AC20, and pulse lasers.....

is there a fast forward button for the next 9 years of fluff? Sux to pick up the story after the 4th war beat down, and before the "newer models"

That was the intention. How else could Davion survive till Clan invasion if we had all that perfect tech? ;)

I guess...Catapult until somthin better comes along! (8 shots per launcher sux!)

Hopefully, much like TT teams, lousy pilots / ******* pilots will choose the larger houses, leaving us the more mature and dedicated faction!

Raven, Vindicator, Cataphract and Victor were definitely all produced within the CC around 3025. I think they lost the Victor production line when St. Ives split off.

Of course, the CC would have access to all the meat and potatoes mechs: stuff like the 13 unseen/reseen (check Sarna.net if you don't know what this means), Catapult, Hunchback, etc etc.

On the bright side, the Raven should be dirt cheap for the Capellans and darn expensive for everyone else, and it is the premier electronic warfare mech in the inner sphere during the MWO timeframe!

Cheers
