The trebuchet's hard points are too wonky to replace the centurion's excellent zombie missile and laser hard points, its huge shield arms and its amazing speeds. The best ones are basically worse versions of better mechs.

Come 3060 I will definitely have a Lao Hu and even a Sha Yu. Both are sweet mechs...

I like Capellan mechs just like anyone else but those look remarkably familiar...

Lao Hu is basically an Orion
Sha Yu could be pretty much built on a Cicada-3M chassis

I can honestly say that the CCAF is well represented in terms of mechs that are good and popular. Both the Raven 3L, Cataphract are Liao originated designs which are still among the most popular "max" mechs to take out in 8-man teams.

Otherwise I wouldn't mind seeing a Pillager which would give us a dual ballistics assault (in different torso's) mech.

Oddly enough, the Raven and Cataphract were both designed by Capellans, both had a lot of them captured by the FedSuns and both feature the same model numbers.

2X is a Davion variant that scraps ECM and BAP and puts that LL in instead, becuase they can't reproduce the hi-tech equipment.

Well hey now, don't look down on the 2X. We've got some distinct advantages over the Federated Suns.

1a. We are better than they.
1b. We have the history on our side.
1c. We have the respect of the other Faction members for standing up to them.

For those of you having trouble researching lore on Liao...make sure you are aware of the proper name....Capellan Confederation...

Battletech Wiki has a list of manufacturers which includes some of the mechs produced in Liao space...

The Orion is fairly common in the CC...since the FWL likes them so much it isn;t uncommon for the CC to salvage them and put them back into use...

And the Cicada is produced on a CC world so they are most common in our ranks
