???? No kinds of weapons should be taken out, all battletech weapons are wanted. We should be lucky enough to get more weapons!

But this thread was to let PGI know about the rate on the Polar highlands showing up, not any particular weapon, and it wasn't a complaint, just letting em know.

Because Knowing... is half the battle

Most likely because PH allows all game modes, other than maps like Frozen City Classic or Canyon Network, and maye a bit of confirmation bias.

Even better, force the LRM mechs to the team with the premade of elite, T1 comp players. You know, give them a handicap.

As for the rate of Potato Lurmlands showing up, here at PGI when there's an issue that doesn't get addressed, we call it a "feature" and ignore it. What you're experiencing is a "feature" of the matchmaker, nothing else.

Wow! seems like some people can use just about any thread to complain bitterly by just being obtuse and hopping onto their favorite soapbox.

This was a heads up for PGI, that's all.

Loving the game.

PGI don't really care that half their maps are terrible, that the player base love to choose the worst maps over the better ones, that players like to spam garbage weapons during events rather than play intelligently.

That's what you're attempting to report. That's MWO's maps coupled with MWO's community. We shoot ourselves in the foot whenever PGI forgets to do it for us. Map voting? Hell, give us all the worst, and give 'em to us over and over. Choices in weapons? Let's run the bad ones that make even worse players complain on the forums.

My goal is one evening's play (5-8 matches) without once seeing Frozen City . . .

Nope! Read my posts again, I was reporting that the Polar highlands was coming up for selection an abnormal amount, not that it was being selected an abnormal amount. The selection screen is generated by the PGI machines, while the actual map selected is up to the players dropping.
