im trying to remember the context of this video, i think it was overbalancing or fp or something.

pgi seems lothe for fun game mechanics, like splash damage (such as aoe weapons and dont say ppc thats only one that has it and its not real splash), or missiles that follow the tag laser or happy ballistic fun time.

if you want to balance something, balance trash tier robbits. since pgi now has to focus their business model on selling old stuff (they have no intention of adding new stuff) they should at least make that old stuff worth buying.

And the fact that it's about 2 years ago meant things barely changed. xD

Still Dual-Arc LRM was nice.

dane is still right. bring back mobility. make brawl good, nay- USEABLE, again. i miss srms being a valid option, and i miss being able to react to unexpected situations with deadsides and shield arms in a split second.

only reason brawl isnt usable is because people are afraid to take damage. its like the typical mwo player has forgotten how legs work. its like they all get to their preferred spot and pretend to be a turret. of course every match turns into a brawl eventually, provided your campers dont get themselves killed one by one and you while you wait in a ditch. then you are left to deal with a lot of cored but not quite dead mechs by yourself. but link up with 2 or 3 fast brawlers and you can plow into the tail end of the enemy formation. you might not win but at least you gut a few of them.

im talking about organized 12 v 12 play. everythings viable in qp considering the devolution of player skill since the making of danes videos. id like to see brawl being used at higher level play, which it isnt due to the strength of mid-long range, high burst damage/ high damage over time options. and the best counter to that play style is highly mobile, big dps at close range style mechs.

used to be that if you got close to a mid/long range build in a brawler, the brawler had an advantage. thats not so true anymore. even when you get danger close in a brawler, its hard to match dps and use shield arms/sides effectively. theres a handful of exceptions, like the assassin, but even that is a shadow of what it once was.

ok i think i know what you are getting at. the old pro tactic of running fast brawlers in so quickly the enemy doesnt even have time to cool down. nothing can screw up an erll line faster than a bunch of angry brawlers closing the gap to cqb and exploit the enemy's overheated mechs. yea i miss that.
