I'm not sure of the technical implications of this request and will even admit I'm really only thinking about my game when I ask for this lol, but, if at all possible please implement absolute positioning for joysticks, as in if I move my joystick all the way to the right than my torso is all the way to the right and when I center the stick the torso centers.

I currently use 1 joystick in my left hand with the y-axis as throttle and the x-axis to turn my legs, and a mouse in my right hand for torso/aim, Given that the current thinking is to improve the overall fun of the game, for myself, this would accomplish that goal. If I could use 2 joysticks in this game properly... I can't speak for anyone else but yeah I'd be having WAY more fun!

EDIT: after some reading on the forums this is a seriously requested topic, if you google "mwo absolute joystick" you get about 10 pages of threads directly from this site with people in the community asking about it and some people literally trying to the do the coding for you lol

It also appears that the game currently has a somewhat broken version of this implemented.

I would also like 2 joystick capability... This would be sick if you ask me! Or, hell, add paddle capability to the game. Joystick for torso control, peddles for leg control... It would be like running an excavator!

We've been asking for this since 2012... I don't understand why this is such a difficult ask. The information from the joystick is given to the game in absolute format format. It should be very simple to make it so the axes information is tied to the torso twist of the mech. Make 0 twist fully left, make 65535 twist fully right. Make 32767 the center. Similar setup for up and down pitch. Everything else like curves and such can all be configured in the joystick software we just need this one crumb to make this work better.

As of now, pretty much everyone who's serious about using a joystick is using the joystick, and it works ok, but it's not ideal because we keep going out of sync with the mech's movement if we move the mouse pointer too fast, which is easy to do with the joystick emulating a mouse. With proper absolute joystick controls we could avoid that and get proper synchronization between the joystick and the mech.

It's extra weird because this is essentially how the throttle works. If I move the axis 70% I get 70% throttle, I don't continually accelerate to 100% at 70% acceleration.

Seriously, at this point I'd be happy to just pay to get this done. I'll buy it as DLC, I'll pay for it directly, just please, it's really important for this genre.
