Hi all I am back from my 3 years of not being hereness. LOVING THE NEW MECHS and what you have done with the place.

Okay silliness aside:

• Is the 3 mech elite system is still a rule?
  
• What was the advantage to building the skills tree?
  
• Do you earn skill points then assign for deeper customization opposed to all variants having the same skills?

No, now you need just one 'Mech.

In theory you can decide what strong suits of your 'Mech you enhance, or what weaknesses you try to mitigate. For example when using some fragile 'Mechs, you can give them more armor and structure. On the other hand when using a 'Mech with Jump Jets, you can make it jump even farther. Etc.

Under the old system, all 'Mechs gained the same enhancements as you gradually skilled them, no matter if it was Spider or Atlas.

See my previous answer. Now every single 'Mech in your hangar has its own set of skills and locked/unlocked skill nodes.
