I want a listing of past game results even if its just the last 5 or so. I want to be able to go back and see how my side did and how I did. There is no reason why this shouldn't be in the game.

I want the LURM spam problem gone! Yes, we all know PGI made the LURMS the way they are to keep morons from leaving the game. What you have created is people too stupid or too lazy to play the game, sitting behind a hill shooting missiles like water from a fire hose at people who can't fight back. Maybe you kept some people from quitting but how many new players quit because they kept getting LURM swarmed, especially when half the team is LURM spamming?

I actually had one guy admit that the reason he had a LURM boat was because it was the only way he could still get good scores while being ****-faced drunk.

I'm going to use the "C" word that so many people associated with MWO don't like. Canon. There, I said it. For the love of God open a Battletech book! LRMs are supposed to take a loooong time to reload. Reload systems jam with battle damage.

How about instead of buffing the LRM systems every chance we get, we nerf them and we nerf them hard! MUCH longer reload times and jamming the reload system are good ones but I'll give you one more.... No more shooting from behind cover UNLESS the target is TAGGED or NARCed.

Please don't say AMS, ECM, or Radar Deprivation. They are feel good measures that don't go anywhere near fixing the problem.

Other then that, I'd like to see new mechs and new maps. If were putting in our requests, I'd like to see the Thug and the Penetrator.

Balance the Game, balance EVERYTHING, balance it until it is DEAD!!! Man we were balancing 2 years ago with no end and it was a f'in mess! IS XL destruction is and always was the death of a mech. Do not touch those core rules or you can just merge clan and is tech for good and be done with it.
God I realy can't stand the ongoing whining about balancing anymore. I wish we could just leave the game alone and have some new Maps and better performance instead. Fix the framerate drops, fix invisible walls, fix spawn points, generate new content that would be nice!!!

We could need some more achievements in MWO, like the ones in BattleTech from HBS.

  • LFE 15-20% Engine loss heat capacity/ x% loss heat dissipation / 15% movement
As for the Soup queue and splitting it back up, making Solaris and FP occasional/event driven would only increase the QP queue how many players? Solaris is practically dead except for a short period when it is reset. For FP, 24 players plus a few odds and ends right now? It does not come even close to being "End game" type of setup, something to glue people to come together to form and stay active as units.

Sorry never really thought things out to much when I first did this and I'm far from a pro builder so thanks for the suggestion/feedback.

I just want to add - that the first implementation of CW(Faction Play today) was the most interesting and informational - where the planets were captured by sectors and the number of players challenging the planet was visible. See this page.

Not to blatantly rob from other games but if it works, it works. I for one hate when the game is a steam roll but it takes 10 minutes more minutes for the game to end as the survivors scatter and hopelessly run around dragging the game out. The matchmaker blows it ...often...and even with fixes probably still will on occasion.

Adding a zero mechanic to the scoring where points are lost for friendly mech deaths and if your team drops to zero the game ends would at least bring a quicker end to the games where the outcome is already determined.

-just my 2 cents outside of everything I've already heard.

An idea with regard to Faction Play:
Have each faction have a faction score bar that goes up depending on all victories/scores of all players aligned to the faction, no matter the game mode. The highest weight of faction score is planet capture in Faction Play, of course.
At the end of each month, the scores are tallied out and rewards are given to all players of each faction based on how well the faction placed.
Then the scores are reset and we go again.
Players can switch factions between scoring periods.
Players can only leave faction during a scoring period. If they do so, they will not get any faction reward at the end of a period.
Unaligned players (Mercenaries) need something nice as well, but I haven't got a clue on what to do there.

In short, have something faction play related in all game modes and put some more meaning into actually being in a faction.

We needed this like ten years ago so people could keep up with social discussions while in game. You want more people playing? Persistent chat and customizable separate windows. Windows you can dedicate to a single friend.

Seriously, just copy World of Warcraft's style or any other MMORPG.

Here's an idea, show which team voted for which map when you choose the map at the beginning of a match. eg. if you notice most of the other team chose Polar, then you get a hint that they have lots of lurms and can position appropriately. So many times you her 'awww, who chose this map?' - Don't need to display individual choices, but be cool to see which team was voting for a specific map

Hi Daeron,

I think we need to evaluate Match Maker and move away from Tonnage and move to Mech Class in groups to be 1 to 1 in other words you bring a 4 man you have to bring 1 of each class but make the Match maker build matches the same way, it fills based on class for each lance so you end up with 3 of each type in a match. To me this would simplify the match making system. I would love to get others thoughts on this.

I feel most of this list is lipstick on a pig. However, if this is what the community wants, it is a start. Low hanging fruit.

I want to cast my vote as NAY! for 8v8. If I wanted to play that, I'd power up MW4.

I also cast my vote for 1-1-1-1. (3-3-3-3)

Fixing maps? Fix the corners of buildings. Make more maps. Asymmetrical maps. Have random drop zones. Rarely would you choose where you were going to fight. You fight where the enemy is.

Bring back chassis leaderboard events.
Have stock mech events. (Points accumulated in stock mechs over a period).
Make Faction Play meaningful.
Make quickplay support faction play.
