Transverse was his plan for a new original IP, crowd-funding failed but hope was never lost.

If he's not talking Transverse what do you think he's talking about?

Wouldn't that just be the best dose of irony? Say isn't that "Ironic" songwriter Canadian too?

translation: lend us lots and lots of monies so we can buy lots and lots of studios so we can shuffle around our debt until you don't know what shell it's hiding under until you lose your principle investment.

As many of you know, the delay in the release of Cyberpunk 2077 until December 10th had us reconsidering our release date for the Heroes of the Inner Sphere DLC, as well as the launch of MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries on Steam and GoG. Any developer wants their titles to get as much attention as possible, and obviously sharing a release date with Cyberpunk was less than optimal. Day one sales and marketing are so important to a successful product launch, and we believe that rescheduling our release date will allow MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries to have the opportunity and attention it deserves.

...

So after much consideration and debate, we have decided that moving the release date of MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries DLC Heroes of the Inner Sphere to Spring 2021 is the right choice.

Pretty sure they just specified the DLC.

What makes you think that Russ Bullock knows what he is talking about?

i have no interest in an original ip from a developer as lackluster as pgi. the only reason any of us are here in the first place is that they hijacked our preferred franchise.

I am not sure that one could even call Russ Bullock's Transverse "an original IP", considering that it was a pretty obvious attempt to jump on the Elite: Dangerous / Star Citizen bandwagon.

Not an Original IP for him.

MW5 is the game he wanted to make, failed, made MWO to fund it and went back to MW5.
Transverse was the "Original IP" game he wanted to make, failed, got funding from EB7 and now he's announcing something...

Is it just me or the CEO guy is the sleaziest slimiest money man they could find to do this presentation? It is investor presentation, so that might be intentional, but still.

He sounds better than Russ.

One of two things is about to happen:

a- EG7 is as clueless as when we all started playing MWO and then discovered the reality of Russ and PGI later. They will be pissed when the truth hits them.

b- Someone tipped them off that Mechwarrior was a good franchise to have, and they are just waiting to fire Russ so they can run it like adults.

I'm going with a.
