Hate to say it but steam sales have pretty much stopped me from ever buying a game at launch anymore.

Why buy in at full price for buggy incomplete games when you can wait and save 80% or more for a patched up game with lots of user made mod content?

As to the black friday sales they are nice but nothing special. Would have liked some mech bay discounts too.

I wonder when pgi will ever discover the wonder of volume sales instead of opportunity?

They didn't stop me as such, but combined with bundles (and especially my Humble Choice subscription) they convinced me to only do that with games I'm particularly hyped for. I can easily count half a dozen or so games bought on launch in past 3-4 years.

Recurring Problem. They are discounted though, at least the ones i checked (iirc the Heavy Gauss shows no banner, costs 500.000 right now, 1M regular).

And "All mechs, All Weapons, All Engines" 50% off is "nothing special"? srsly? That mechs and mechbay sales are staggered most of the time should be old news by now, that is why you always stock up on reduced mechbays for opportunities like this one

Oh I still buy in at launch on a few like red dead redemption 2 and battlefront 2 due to the online part but for single player games I can wait. Hell after years of buying up cheap games on steam I have a huge backlog that will take years to finish. I got every borderlands game and dlc for $5 on the handsome bundle and have yet to finish the first one.

I didn't say it wasn't welcome just saying its a repeat of what we always get. As for mechbays this is a new account and I just missed the last sale.

Matt Newman, you have my thanks on this. I've been waiting for an Engine Sale in order to complete the outfits on several of my Mechs that have a design currently in blueprint form. That said, the addition of the Weapon Sale is also a very nice touch, and is additionally appreciated.

Will be looking forward to additional Sale occurrences in the future here... Looks like some people above have already mentioned some ideas.

Well... he could be an old player and just worn out by all the many-many reneges.
Maybe remembers when MW5 was announced with a really good trailer back in 2009 and then reneged.
Oh I know that was before PGI got IPG onboard, and long before IPG's bankruptcy in 2014 and along with it MWT (RIP).
Been a long rough road for the old timers... long road of failed to follow through on commitments.

But if you (F37u5 Ea73r) are an old timer then please remind me what was reneged when this new MWO thing started up in 2013.
Otherwise, sometimes its better to let sleeping dogs lie.
