Does anyone else have this happen?

Youtube video's crash out to the "Aww snap" error screen if I am running MWO which also crashes and sends an error report......

I chnaged my MWO screen settings with advice from other players to prevent repeated crashes happened but just a moment ago, boom!

Youtube video crashes mid play, MWO loading in behind crashes out.

Is this a thing for anyone else?

Something is wrong with your video card or it's driver. Video is usually hardware accelerated now. Video card hardware is used for this purpose. If something is wrong with it, it can interfere with 3D applications. May be lack of video RAM? Or video is just way too heavy for your card? Like 4k on video card, that can't handle it? Isn't it overheating? Try to disable hardware video acceleration in browser and see if it helps.

Are you running MWO full screen or windowed? That makes a big difference on the stability of MWO when alt-tabbing applications

use full window and that wont happen.

crashes happen when your video card tries to change power states, cry engine is old and doesn't handle that correctly. full window keeps the game rendering and the video card wont try and change its power state when you switch focus with alt tab.

Figured it might be alt-tab and video resolution issues. Just disappointing not to be able to risk doing several things at a time without one application killing them.

Just have to pare my online activities back while playing MWO

Thanks all for the replies

I had the same issue when using google chrome so I switched to the brave browser and no more issues.

I have had this problem in the past with youtube increasing the frequency of crashes in MWO by a significant amount.

Use Full Windowed mode. It renders it on top as if it was full screen including hiding the taskbar and no title bar, etc. You won't know the difference except alt-tabbing won't crash the game.

That is, if the resolutions are the same.
