Still not sure how to identify a Clan Mech vs. Non Clan Mech. I want to choose my own Mechs for faction play. I'm probably missing something simple.

Clan Mechs can only use Clan weapons, and IS mechs can only use IS weapons. So if the mech you are looking at has weapons that start with C- (which denotes Clan) then it is a Clan mech, if not it is an IS mech.

Another way to denote Clan vs Inner Sphere (IS) mechs in your mech-bay storage and in the store is by the color of the bar that appears between the name of the mech and it's image. A blue bar will denote a Clan mech whereas a brown bar denotes an IS mech.

E.G., An Adder (ADR- whatever variant) will have a blue bar under its name but above its image, thus it is a Clan mech. A Commando (COM- whatever variant) will have the brown bar under its name but above its image, thus it is a IS mech.
