So PGI did indeed make cockpit items that boost cbill & xp earnings by 5% a piece the thing is they're not on sale and aren't regularly available. Obviously the desire here is to ask that PGI put these items in the regular store for MC.

Also of note there are only "standing" and "hanging" versions but it would be cool if a mounted version were available as well. Extra points if it's a warhorn as well. The cbill one could make some kind of money sound and the XP could sound like a book closing or "AHAH!" like you just learned something and thus "gained XP".

The question now is how much would be a fair price? Over 1000 MC at least I'd imagine but what do you guys think?

It always starts like that in MMO's. First a +5% item for ridiculous prices. Then a +10% for ridiculous prices, then +20% and so on. And every time a new shiny comes out there are always people who are willing to pay, time and time again ...

So what do I think? ... I think its time to get a clue and close the wallet until actual CONTENT starts showing up.

But then again, we all know this is Minimally Viable Product supported by clueless people with too much money on their hands, so ... 100.000 MC (about 500$, i.e. Gold Khan mech, worth) sounds about right to me. Knock yourselves out.

You'd have a very hard time convincing me that a paltry 5% buff to earnings is worth trading something like the lulzy Urbie trash can or the unspeakably cool Lanner Falcon for a ridiculous gaudy nothing that just has the c-bill emblem or "XP" written on it in glowy letters. Much less that a hypothetical "cha-ching!" or any silly 'you did a learning!' noise warhorn could possibly be a worthy substitute for the Ram's Horn, Cameron Star, or either of the Bagpipes. Wouldn't use them even if I had them. I'm... not actually sure if I have any of them. I'd have to check. Because even if I do, I have plenty of cockpit items that I actually want to look at. Or make hapless spectators look at.

Besides, the TSP already yields a way better deal than the cockpit items would: ten RealBucks™ for a 10% bonus to both XP and cbills, for a good chunk of the year, which applies to every 'Mech in your stable, without having to dangle a particular not-even-fun-to-look-at-thing in front of your face all the time.

Those were gained through loyalty programs top tier is/clan or ultimate pack part cannot remember which... so 2x or 4xCollectors pack 80-160$.
or MWOWC support pack 10$ which gives you that 10% extra for a half a Year or so..

I'd think those had to be at least worth 10$

The best way to get xp/cbill boost is save up mc from a few events and wait for a hero sale to get a dirt cheap is hero for about 7-800 mc then use it a lot.

You can get xp bonus on some mechs plus pt also give xp bonus. I'd go for an xp bonus cockpit item if they were cheap and interesting looking. I've seen the current ones and they are quite dull to look at. They'd be worth it if they had small animation loops like some of the newer cockpit items. The corgi with a bone is my favorite one of the newer standing ones.

I'd rather have more LP boost items. 1,060,000 Loyalty Points is a lot to grind, and having only one faction specific item in one mech is not a gigantic help - generally it's 10 or so LP's per match.

I never did understand the hate generated against people willing to pay for silly digital stuff in a game. I mean I can understand why a person might think it silly to spend money on a game but why be upset at someone else spending money especially since that money is used to keep the servers running on a game your playing. I mean the more money players spend, generally speaking, the more a developer will invest in their cash cow to keep players spending money. It is a total fallacy to believe that players spending less money on a game will lead to positive change for that game, in fact if anything the developer will just neglect the game more or hell even shut it down.

So really you should be thanking anyone willing to spend money because that and only that will lead to any chance whatsoever that MWO will improve and the MW5 will actually turn out a good, fun game.

Any person spending money on the game shows his support towards the actions of the developer regarding said game.

Do you like the current state of FactionPlay?
Do you like yet another useless mode with multiple buckits (hello Solaris)?
Do you like the complete absence of ANY meaningful content for years (hello maps)?
Do you like absolutely broken gamemodes (hello escort)?
Do you like the 'improvements' that render half of the mechs in game useless (hello rescale)?
Do you like bugs that PGI refuses to even acknowledge (hello RACs with double DPS)?
Or perhaps you like broken promises that are being made for years over and over (hello IK, collisions and so on)?

If you do and are willing to spend money - be my guest. It's your right. But I reserve my right to call a person who does that a ***** and hate him all I want. Because the only way to make a lazyass developer to actually do smth these days is STOP paying, not keep paying in naive hopes for changes for the better while they haven't been a single sign of changes for the better in all 6 years this game exists.

Wanna buy a MechPakTM?

P.S. Don't mean be rude, but if you think PGI is 'investing' anything into MWO then you are totally clueless.
P.P.S. MW5 - good, fun game ... LOL ... They can't program their Escort Atlas getting from fixed point A to fixed point B, let alone an AI enemy. Hilarious.

Your salt is edgy and all but really the point of this thread is to just get some extra convenience for players.

I buy things when I want them and cancel things when PGI breaks them.

The most common thing a dev studio does when people stop spending money on a product? They close it down.

Oh, still waiting on that 50% Civil War pack sale, PGI - I want the rest of those cockpit items, but not at full price Posted Image

i just necro this thread in the hope pgi reconsiders selling such cockpit items. i recently bought a few hero mechs but i am all out of xp and cbills and levelling them is a *****. some cockpit items to help with the grind would really be nice.

Yeah I'm not sure why you can't just buy them. They've made them already but even to include them in mech packs they've been pretty reluctant which is crazy imo. Even just the XP cockpit items coming with the packs would be quite nice.

Maybe this thread can get more traction this time.

I've never found myself lacking for credits or XP to be honest. I appreciate the economy is different now to years ago, but between standard match rewards and the ridiculous amount of events, 5% isn't going to make any different to anything. Particularly XP. That's maybe 1 less match to max skill a mech.

Well there's a standing & hanging item so you can get 10% in total. Even just a little bump would be nice.
