Thank you for the lenghty explanation, looks like there are more different weapons for the categories. I kinda got the idea of spread weapons and pinpoint weapons, the problem for me was that I had issues trageting certain parts of enemies at medium to long range battles thats why I gone with MRMs as they were easier for me to use than lasers.
Try decreasing the mouse sensitivity all the way down in settings, or if your mouse has dpi adjustable settings, play around with those too.

Yeah true I had it lowered before but now will use one of the mouse dpi settings for when using certain builds, thanks for reminding me.

Thanks for the generous offer but I will try to kinda go slowly at this game to learn it more before progressing further as I find it fun to try new loadouts. As for trying I kinda use the Trial mechs to try them in training grounds with different weapon systems. I must say the many different ballistic weapons are kinda a category in themselves with so many variants.
After trying Stalker I will probably stick with playing Assaults Mechs until I get more used the game as they are a lot more new player friendly and I am not as hard punished for making mistakes as I am when I was in the mediums. I mean currently it feels like I am overpowering others by sheer volume of firepower I can field on STK and if I flank somebody its usually gameover for enemy mech although that happens kinda rarely, also it wins most of the peek shots trades which helps a lot in the mid game.
There are other Assaults as strong as STK in the game or its the pinnacle of the firepower Assault Mech ?
Will go for a ballistics build on the next Assault once I save up enough C-bills
Are there discounts on normal c-bill mechs in the game and if there are how rare they are ? Because I can kinda wait a bit more so I dont use up all my c-bills on one Assault mech then go broke again

Welcome to the game Red Komrade.
I'm glad you are enjoying your assault mechs, the STK is a pretty good ride. That said, a lot of new players have trouble with assault-class mechs because they are usually the slowest mechs on the team, Clan assaults notwithstanding, and despite all their firepower and armour they can be focused down and destroyed very quickly if caught out of position.
On the whole, Clan assault mechs put out the most damage while IS assaults are tankier, with outliers on each side. At the moment, the most popular dakka assault-class mechs are probably the Blood Asp A or B using either 3xUAC5 + 1xUAC10 or 2xUac10 + 1xUAC20, and the Mad Cat MKII B (MCII-
On the IS side, the Cyclops Sleipnir (hero) with 4xLB10-X is very popular, as are various flavours of the Annihilator and Fafnir.
Please bear in mind that these are only general observations/recommendations, there are many opinions about mechs and you will eventually find the right build for your play style.
Good hunting,
CFC Conky

I gone and bought + armed a STK-3H that letir suggested and have a blast with it for now. I made a little bit different loadout but the effectiveness looks good enough, 2x MRM 40 and 4x ER lasers so they have more or less the same range but at most can fire them all twice before overheat. First couple of games got mauled hard thx to the tall profile of Assault mechs I guess but got used peeking from hulldown positioning and trading shots managed to do 1k+ dmg in 2 battles also managed to go down in seconds by 2 lights mechs who I couldnt target in closer range xD

I just got STALKER so used half of my C-bills on it (17m). I will play kinda a lot of battles especially now that have premium time thanks to event so will be easier to save up again. But I am open ofc if there are some builds with ballistics or other weapons that are easier to use for new players., and something that preferrably dont overheat after 2nd shot, something that I managed with my failbuilds
2x MRM40s incur ghost heat if you fire them together. If you do something like this
https://mech.nav-alp...8d80bbe9_STK-3H
You could alpha 3 times before needing to take a break
There's nothing wrong with high alpha high heat builds, they just play differently.
If you want to play brawling or DPS builds, they build and play differently

Annihilator is slow as molasses, it's not very effective in solo play.
If you want to play Rotary Autocannons, there is several mediums and heavies which can run them just fine.

Map awarness won't help when all guys with 65+ just leave you in the dust. Consideringthat RACs have significant downtime, ability to engage and disengage willingly is cruical.
Bushwacker, Champion and Warhammer are better alternatives for this type of gampelay.
