I came up with a neat idea when I first read about this guy:

Stick with a certain faction, complete deeds for them (lots of victories, points, etc.) and have a chance to win that faction's totem mech, special mech, or technology. Limited awards of the particular 'Mech, too.

The Shiro gave me that idea because Kurita only awards it to a very small group of hand-selected people. My proposal is to take that idea and translate it to every other faction.

For a particular unit, such a special 'mech would go to the unit commander to either use for themselves or gift (and it can only be gifted ONCE) to a specific individual in that unit. Likewise for different technologies, too.

This would make faction play more interesting, and faction loyalties more important & meaningful.

As far as what other 'Mechs and technologies to use? Who knows???
