Adder goes to cap on Crimson. Imbecile. Team dies. Bigger imbecile in Blood Asp tries to kill Adder. Adder kills Blood Asp. Blood Asp's wreckage propped up against cap. Adder keeps shooting. Gets killed by another enemy because imbecile.

Imbecile gets a kill. Will think he did nothing wrong. Will keep being an imbecile. People do stupid things, never learn, never do anything different, it works against other stupid people occasionally so it must be good.

You get that a lot in the new comp group queue, when comp group players drop solo.

Does it matter.. After that game finished you seem to be the only one that remembers it.. The rest of us move on and play the next match.

By the way switch to decaf you blood pressure seems way too high.

It does matter because imbecile will go on to grind to bigger mechs that matter even more being played well, and will not play them well, costing other teams.
More imbeciles make for more bad player experiences make for less good players as they quit in frustration from being dragged down by imbeciles

not that this matters because anyone can go take any mech with a garbage build and look like an imbecile in someones opinion. Anyone can be "Bad" if they feel like it.

I can play an assault and fail miserably by no fault of my own.

An imbecile will never Choose to improve. I presume any rational player will, by learning from team mates, watching/reading guides and tutorials. An imbecile lives in deliberate ignorance.

And yes you can fail miserably through no fault of your own in an assault but it is likely to be because the imbecile didn't support you against the light mechs cutting you up, didn't share ECM coverage vs the missiles barrage as you moved into position, hasn't loaded UAV's or scouted out the enemy battle line before you stumbled into it or didn't follow up your push.

Everyone's got to start from somewhere. Give him a few seasons to improve his game before you start stat shaming.

His behavior is pretty arrogant though.

I hate stat shaming, I don't normally do it, but cmon apart from the genius OP, carpeno up there is berating players for not learning to get better over time while himself being pretty bad with 6000 games under his belt

Whiner whines on forums. Gets responses. Thinks this means his posts matter. Will keep being a whiner. People do stupid things, never learn, never do anything different, other whiners respond occasionally so it must be good.

I imagine, unlike choosing to be deliberately ignorant, if you looked at my games played per season* you would see that when I do concentrate on playing my score goes steadily up.
When I don't play it drops precipitously. I imagine this is from having to relearn the games controls, at a guess.

As many have said over the years however, the stats mean whatever you want them to mean.

For the player I step infront of after the have fired and need to recharge, taking the damage they would have taken because I have more armor, maybe it is different.
For the player who's assualt remains undetected under my kitfoxes ECM allowing them to get a kill or two, yeah, they probably don't notice.
For the team whose weapons go through their enemies paperthin armor after I have spent 1200 LRM's wearing it off and not getting any kills but getting killed by the piranah near the end, yeah they'll say, "Damage scores don't matter!"

But none of those things ever happen to anyone do they?

Comparing some, un-named, players stats using the site I presume others are. I'm not sure what mode others play in but I'm always in the solo queue.

3 of us have a similair w/l ratio, not much varience.
I die the most. I should stop helping/looking out for the team I guess.
Progress 24% is that a good thing?

all I'm saying is there's no need to crap all over people :)

pretty much nobody is gud at this game right away, for some people it takes months (I've never seen anyone become a high end player in weeks, I'm sure it's possible), for some it takes years, for some they never really become that great but still enjoy playing

just gotta go easy on the whole stupid pugs, imbeciles, etc. 99% of players aren't top 1% players

That is your quote though correct? And in it you deliberately judge a player by their stats? Is this mollified reply by way of apology?

Hypocrisy is the practice of engaging in the same behavior or activity for which one criticizes another or the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform. In moral psychology, it is the failure to follow one's own expressed moral rules and principles.

But I'm not sure it means in relation to the discussion what you think it means

When someone points out that you're a pot calling the kettle black, arguing about it doesn't really help. You can just point out that you don't need to be the greatest to notice that some people are really really bad. Nobody is gonna fault you for saying that.

What is missing is the explaination for where, or what, I stated that was hypocritical, in clear and unambigous terms. Not couched behind proverbial idioms that add nothing to the discussion such as "Pot calling the kettle black".

If some people seem to suffer that much playing, why keep watching and being part of the mess MWO currently is?

People are dumb yes, so what ? No one is obliged to be here or at the game.

And it's not going to change until at least PGI gets a new management. Because most people never learn, wont learn and refuse to learn. They just want to keep doing their own thing or troll around.

Only 5 more years to go... ENjoy Posted Image
