People refused to play it, so PGI forced that game mode on them.

Standing in box to turn it colors is not fun. Maybe PGI doesn't like shooting. Maybe other people don't like shooting.

Considering it is probably the only mode that isn't consistently won through team death match I find it's a good change of pace. particularly since you only really wind up playing it a few times a day.
