Why are these IS Light options terrible? Literally un-electable.

i'd be down for the hollander if it got stupid-level ballistic quirks, but yeah, i'm not a fan of these choices either.

It will get 15% gauss and 15% ballistic cooldown or something at most.
Not enough to make it viable like the old Grid Iron with 50% gauss/ballistic cooldown quirk + 17% cooldown from module/skill tree.
The time of really insane quirks is long gone.

I have no issues with those IS lights.. We need more Veritechs in our MWO.

To be Honest, i'd be happy with anything new.. You guys going nuts at this really aren't helping the game flourish.

Because I haven’t seen you playing the game! I’ve been back for a month now. UNACCEPTABRUH

Truth be told, these were the top 5 lights remaining from the last poll. I too was disappointed by the lack of Raptor but in the interest of holding an unbiased poll my hands were tied.

A few random robots are unlikely to help the game flourish. At best they might cause a brief population spike (if they're good robots) but they wouldn't have much long-term impact.

Such a debbie downer. You will pay the price for your lack of vision!

Just kidding, but if you think about it, there are many robots that SHOULD be included in MW5 as well, so really getting the models made is applied to both games and is essentially double dipping (MWO mech packs, MW5 DLC expansions). Remember there are so many big events that would make for good single player campaigns and expansions. Operation Bulldog, Task Force Serpent, etc. And what did CJF bid at the end of Task Force Serpent? That's right, two Turkinas. Boom.

Kingfishers would no doubt be plentiful defending the home worlds and jump points on the exodus road. IS omnis should be around and available too.

Not to mention, population spikes due to new robots is a good thing. Especially if they are coming in every month again. That may have been left out of PGI's evaluation. They said they weren't providing a good return on investment, but that doesn't take into account the fact that new robots means new things, and new things means people will come on periodically to try it out. At the end of the day, some more content drops are probably a good thing. Also agree with new equipment. I want HAGs. The Clan ballistic selection hasn't seen much variety.

I mean, don't get me wrong. I'm not opposed to new robots. I won't get angry at their addition. I've just gone into full apathy mode because of this game's development being so uneventful for so long (even when robots were still being made). TL;DR: Meh.

I remember Russ or some other PGI person saying that most mechpacks didn't even break even in terms of how much money it took to develop them vs. how many were sold, so I think that good robots should be prioritized so that any robot which does get made actually earns back the money it cost to make (which would increase the likelihood of future robots).

Well that's direct mechpack sales vs development time. What about the indirect factors of population count though? I wouldn't be surprised if monthly mech releases kept population counts a little higher leading to other indirect avenues of income.

I've been out with only a handful of games over the last year or so, getting new hobbies and fighting depression. If the game wasn't so stale I'd play more, but PGI's apathy is contagious.

:/

Meh, voters schmoters. Raptor is P2W, it will sell.

Anything new is better than maintenance mode imo.
