Hi

I was having no end of trouble purchasing the game using 3 credit cards and 2 paypal accounts no matter what i tried it didn't fix the issue.

Well i rang playspan today and they told me because i have a new account and this is the first time im dealing with playspan they automatically blocked my purchase because the $120 legendary pack is seen as a high value item.

So they had to enable my account to purchase high value items.

I say this would be the same for the elite pack because i did try and purchase that aswell.

Would be handy if something like this could be made a sticky for other people in a similar circumstance.

You can contact playspan here

So in order to purchase the Legendary Founder's pack, you need to contact Playspan and enable "high value" purchases for your account?

Issue may be that the OP's profile shows he's been a member since yesterday so his account was probably created yesterday. The newness of the account and the value of the purchase probably tripped some warning bells on Playspan's end.

I would have expected a hold maybe more than a block which is what it might have been not sure.
Basically they are concerned that they charge it, give you the item and then the credit card company comes back and claims it was fraud and reverses the transaction and now they are paying for it. Once they made one block it probably didn't matter how many times you tried with what card, you'd been flagged as suspicious and wouldn't have it removed from the account unless something changed.

My guess would be your first method of transaction had something that was off about it and triggered a flagging of the transaction, maybe you used a paypal account with an unconfirmed card or maybe you used a debit card with a zipcode from california and your ip says your in china, it looks like a stolen card number bought online in that case.

I'm just saying I doubt it was charging 120 dollars that did it BY ITSELF, it was what they know about you and the card that seemed likely to be fake. It's like if you always eat cheap fast food and always near your hometown and you travel across the country and pull out your card to buy a 4 star meal, your bank will flag it because it goes so against your normal purchasing that having the card owner call to confirm seems prudent.

The other major issue (I just talked to them on the phone) is that it may be registering your computer through a proxy...so depending on your ISP you may be getting screwed as well.

If that is occuring, you apparently need to wait a day or two until it clears the system and then it should work. They recommended paypal as it has an easier time clearing their system.
