I had the issue this morning. I played a match with my friends once the game finally stopped trying to assign us to matchups on servers that are down.
First match was more or less normal.
But the second game... one of my friends comments "What? I know my mech runs a little warm but I shouldnt be shutting down this much!"
It's at this point I look at my heat dissipation. I was running my founder's catapult LRM build with 4 med lasers. I noticed that - even with the help of being mostly immersed in water - my heat was dissapating by 1-2% every 5 seconds or so... which is FARRRRRR off what is normal.

I wasn't aware such a bug existed. I had a very odd match on Frozen City about a month ago. Despite having some 16 or more DHS my mech was cooling down very, very slowly somewhere in the middle of the match.
I was even wondering if there's a heat source on the ground like lava strains on other maps. But then it's Frozen City not Terra Therma.

I just encountered the bug. Heat dissipating at about 1% every few seconds which would have cleared about 10 to 20% heat in the same time frame, normally. Heat death ensued.

It's not a bug, it's a feature.
Simulates space based directed energy weapon attacks.

Such bug used to be relatively common in the past, but at least in my experience it is quite rare these days.
