FS9-K is actually a relatively decent mech right now. 8ML is the nominal build. Though, it's only decent because all the lights that compare to it are crap these days.

CDA-3F is workable. 1LPL+3MPL, or 2LPL, or 2ERPPC.

NVA-S is good. It can do 6MPL So8 or 3AMS builds.

WLF-2 is best light in the game, been so for a long time.

JR7-IIC-A your mech should have good stats at least from before the upscale, this mech was good back in the day. It's still workable today, like 6ERML, 6HML, or 2HLL+4HML. It's a bad mech, but I wouldn't say "worst" territory. There's other jenner variants that are worse.

PNT-10P is decent. 2AC2 is a fairly strong build, but it can also do AC10 things. Better than it sounds.

the fs9-k may have been a mech i bought in my early days before i got gud. and sure enough its at the top of my purchase history. i also find that in the current game firestarters just dont do well.

i dont think i ever ran the jr7-iic-a post civil war tech config. may have been the one i sold because it was too much like one of the other variants.

nova, maybe i used that to screw around with the omnipods. im not even sure i still have that one.

pather and wolfhound got me confused because i have good builds with some of the other variants. i really like the katana kat and grinner heroes.

I’ve had some decent drops in the Fury but it’s sure as heck not one of my go-to mechs for good scores.

you can mount dual uac5s on it. not many lights get that honor. but it is kind of a glass cannon. i put it under fun to play but by no means meta. #359 on my list firmly in trash tier. its only redeeming quality is that its fun to play. all the jenners need buffs.

Any ballistic other than an MG on a light is only ever done for laughs, so that doesn't really do anything to help my opinion of the quality of the chassis. There are lots of terrible chassis you can do silly things on for a lark.

im not saying its good or anything. though there are light mechs that are serious about their heavy ballistics and use them well, like urbies. provided you aren't also using the stock engine.

charger 1A5 is not crap. I have a YouTube channel that's all mwo. I did a Charger 1A5 video right when it came out. It was a ac 20, srm6x 2? Or 3? And med lasers. Can't remember how many missile hps it had but anyways It was A 1k dmg match. It tore apart everything.

I bought the spider anansi hero mech earlier this year when all heroes were on sale with the leftover mc that I got from Events. It was cheap as hell and I was buying under the Idea that I wanted to Get the worste Light hero I could imagine. Add in the fact that I'm not a light pilot hardly ever and Boom. Still have yet to make an episode on that.

I'm seeing alot of People say certain Mechs are garbage On these threads that I can't really believe.
Maybe ita because I usually pilot Heavies and assaults. Mediums depending. And I almost always have Dakka of some sort. I don't Hardly ever play long range. Lrms barely. Unless I'm using a Classic Mech worthy of lrms. Like trebuchet. Catapult. Archer. But none of that Supernova LRM Whale stuff. Unless Im showing how ridiculously easy it is and Messed up how much DMG you can get with those every time.

But I see alot of Cataphracts, Jagermechs, Highlanders etc ....and The Jagermech variants and builds I have for it are by far some of the best with insane cool down quirks. The Cataphract Loyalty variant I have is Called Black Death with it's LBX 20 and 5 Med pulse lasers. The cool down on it is like 30% I believe. It's Fkd up.
Now the Highlander is definitely one of the older mech designs and types that gets over shadowed by newer mechs with higher Hardpoints. But is a Great mech if you have the right pilot.
Highlander IIC is Amazing too. But again. A tough one to pilot and fight with.

Mauler looks good on loadouts and sounds great. But it's massive shoulder pads are eye sores. If you can Stay at a decent range while giving fire support for your team without dying first then great.

Banshee is Great. Especially the variant with the high torso mounted ballistic hps.

Hunchback? Really? I see this one alot. Maybe I'm just a sucker for certain older IS mech designs but the Hunchback can Kick ***. Even the 4Sp. My 4sp has a 75 pt alpha strike. 2 Mrm 30s. 5 er smalls. Light engine. Its Great.
