I'd say that that this particular model seems to be modular in terms of GPUs, which means it'll accept both 630M and 650M most likely. IF HP went to the trouble to create 3 different mainboards, layouts, cooling systems and so on, now that wouldn't be very smart. Standardized parts would make the most sense, especially when production and training costs need to be competitive.
That being said, I'd definitely visit a couple local shops and ask around if any of them would be able to perform such an upgrade. Chances are good, but I'd factor in a bit more money than what you'd pay for a straight HP upgrade on sale. Another option is that you might still return the laptop and order an upgraded version (elsewhere), rather than voiding your warranty with an unauthorized upgrade. Provided you like the laptop of course.
