Is reading the forums for the first time in months while you wait for a patch. Seeing the endless bitching from a small number of ungrateful know-it-alls, who would just go play something else if they actually meant all the bitching.

Great game.

I think the characterization is a bit harsh, but I generally agree. Not a lot of new content coming through the forum and just mounds of salt which is kind of odd or funny considering that the community in game is generally pretty non-toxic.

Also people calling MWO a failure after it's been running for over 9 years. It's not the oldest online "shooter" out there, but it's outlasted plenty of other games, even ones that burned brighter for a short time.

It's easier to criticize than it is to make something. I've definitely criticized PGI for some of their choices. But at the end of the day I have them to thank for having a fun stompy robot game to play!

If it wasn't for bitching nothing would get done in this world.. Congratulations on being a sheep.

The general salt so to speak has come from customers pleading the company as the game had large issues and then for years of being ignored or lied to some what, then it going into maintenance mode with all the money funding other useless projects..

It bred bad blood between the players and the devs.. Hopefully now things are getting back on track and moving forward, i'll be it somewhat slowly but i am hopeful.

Personally would like to see less useless MW5 updates and more needed MWO content.

Bad management and even worse ideas like Transverse , as well as internal fights have led to an exodus of the most talented minds and programmers at PGI, replacements could not be found, only talented people for the new MW5 and the UE4 engine ... now MWO is sold to EG7, a game shareholder with multi-ferengi understanding and there are still no programmers and coders for MWO and the outdated tinkered Cry 3 on the job market. Even if now for the sale to EG7 again the advertising drum is beaten, exentielles will not come, as you can hear in the podcasts ... the same as since 2016 ... we want ... think ... want, do not know if it will come but think about it.And Russ say clear , MWO and a Multiplayer game was never his wished Baby and now thinking to a New Game IP...MWO was never a Loved Baby by PGI

i think the op confuses constructive criticism for not liking the game. saying unpleasant things isn't toxic if its true. lets see how salty you get when you've stuck it out for the long haul. i do give them credit when they do something right, its a shame that doesnt happen all that often.

the community is definitely better than the developer. i dont want to say they are the best because there have been one or two communities that ive been a part of that outshined it in every possible way. but its still up there among them. i probably wouldn't be here if not for that one redeeming quality.

Oh John Johnny John John Johnny John. Stick around mate, you'll see soon enough that the complaining isn't entirely unwarranted.

The people who have criticized the game have stuck around long enough to keep complaining. What vanished were the people who praised the game openly.

These forums have always been the worst part of MWO. Absolutely irredeemably toxic. Avoid while you can.

Still hasn't reached the longevity of MW4. But, then again, MW4 was supported by fanbase coders and not PGI.
