So I have been running this build on my AS7-K & it isnt great but its the best I have figured out so far. Any advice or better builds for this wonky mech?

I have a handy resource - Grimmechs

The Database is handy for builds, albeit some arevariants are not heavily populated as others (or builds rated, yet).

Suffice to say the builds you will find here will always be solid performers so you can rely on them.

about 50 pinpoint at sub 50% heat before skills
1 button loadout with matching cooldown, velocities and range

use your cooldown period to take cover or present fresh mechparts to soak damage

Thanks these are pretty solid builds, I can work off this.

Though i'm not a fan of gauss, what would be a decent replacement?
Right now my UAC10 pairs well with ERLL, would a RAC or UAC5 pair well with the MPLs MLs?

One lone RAC-5 or UAC-5 is not the best armament for a 100 ton Assault BattleMech. And since your Atlas has just one ballistic hardpoint, you must put the most powerful ballistic weapon it it to get the most of that hardpoint. If you do not like Gauss Rifle, try some model of Class 20 Autocannon.
