Which is expected behavior given the guidelines outlined in that post.

Winning adds a +5 PSR modifier to all players on the winning team. If their PSR movement from match score was below -5 before that modifier, they'll still lose PSR.

It is poor design thus defending the system is a poor argument.
Other shooters you play the objective in Ranked even doing no damage, your Rank goes up.
Example, R6 Siege you can play as Montagne, Clash, Blitz never fire a shot, win including by objective and your Rank goes up.
Here play Incursion, attack the base, destroy it, everyone on the winning team loses.

PSR / Tier is the polar opposite of the industry standard of shooters.
FYI not a single high rank or Pro player in other shooters cries about objective wins.

I mean, is it though? If the enemy team has a higher match score than their team it means combat did happen. Their team just didn't didn't perform as well, even if they ended up pulling out a win.

You get match score for capping and PSR for winning, so it's not like it was a tied game.

The point is that sometimes no matter what you do you are going to lose psr on a match even if you tried due to the mode or even was the mech who won the game with the mode. I personally don't care because you gain it in other matches so you end up progressing.
