Game will crash and says to run the repair tool. After running it i get this message in the tool. The following files show mismatches or are missing and will be downloaded:

-game\applejack.pak
-game\bumpers.pak
-game\cobra.pak
-game\phranken.pak
-game\rasalhague.pak
-game\smokejaguar.pak
-game\sounds.pak

Any files downloaded for the FE will be cleaned.

The shader cache will be cleaned out.

Starting to fix issues
Fixing mismatched files.

The files are downloaded and installed
I try to re-launch the game and the same crash occurs ..
Any ideas on this issue?

This is the confirmation that all items were fixed but the game still crashes .

-Fixed!

Cleaning unneeded files.

-Cleaned!

Cleaning game.cfg.

When does the crash happen? Were you able to run MWO before on this machine? What are the system specs?

Can you check if the game.cfg file is present in C:\Users\[your windows account]\Saved Games\MechWarrior Online ?

if not, create one with
; DO NOT MODIFY THIS FILE!
r_DXVersion="DX11"
d3d9_TripleBuffering=0
r_txaa=0
r_msaa=0
r_postaa=0
if you have an intel 10th gen or later cpu, try this fix :
https://mwomercs.com...l-cpus-and-mwo/

If it still crashes, you can post your omicron.log file here.

Generally when there are mismatched files, the issue with is with memory, harddrive or a program interfering with the files.

After running the repair tool, before relaunching the game itself, run the repair tool 2 more times. Do the files come back as mismatched each time, even before actually logging into the game?

The highest probability is memory issue. A stick is either faulty, ram slot faulty, ram is unstable, either due to OC/ram settings such as speed and/or voltage, this include when the Turboboost is engaged, which is a layman's temporary OC.

Those files are compressed files. When D/L they go from memory to harddrive, then once the game is loading those files are moved/opened up in memory the closed by the game. At any point if there is ram issues it generates the mismatches file check.

Post the top half of your dxdiag, while also notating if CPU/system is OC, brand/model of ram and its settings.
  • Use Prime95's torture test
  • If system is OC, reduce speed
  • Check and lower memory settings
  • Are the sticks same brand/model/batch?
  • if 2 sticks, move to unused ram slots. By default the slots used should be 1-3, with 1 being the closest to the CPU but again, this is a troubleshooting steps.
  • If 4 sticks, remove two of them and test. Switch out the sticks.
Just remember, those files are essentially compressed files, being opened and closed by the game.

esp the mem oc part. MWO hates unstable mem oc. U can be rock solid in 9 other games and mwo crashes after 10 secs (mwo should prob be introduced to ram benchmarks).
