I launched the MWO laucher, clicked the patch button, waited for it to complete , got a popup telling me to run mwo repair tool. I do that and let it complete , close everything , reboot , launch MWO again and hit play - game will not launch and i get this message:

Failed to launch E:\MWO\MWOMercs\MechWarrior Online\Bin64\MWOClient.exe - The specified executable is not a valid application for this OS platform.

Damn sorry to hear that, I think you have to uninstall, deleted the entire MWO folder, and reinstall. I suggest backing up the settings from your user folder (C:\Users\user_name\Saved Games\MechWarrior Online)
