This article just popped into my feed, first thing I have seen about MW5 in a long time.

MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries lands on Steam in May | Rock Paper Shotgun

Maybe second launch will be better?

If it doesn't have full steam workshop mod support I wouldn't buy it for $1.

I'm still not shelling out more than 25$ for the base game and DLC. They had their chance on Dec 10.

It's ludicrous for them to charge full price, much less a 50$ game from a widely panned game, and to paywall the supposed fix that is the DLC. Such scummy ********.

MW5 doesn't have multiplayer like the old school mw4 mercs did right? That's the reason I didn't buy mw5, maybe I'll buy it on steam if it goes on sale. My biggest wish from this era of MW games was to be able to host my own dedicated server. Playing mw4 mercs multiplayer as a kid was my all time favorite game hands down. I only came back to mwo to check things out

I see no point with the Steam Workshop if it's only mod distribution, I mean there's already nexus.

PGI lazily made their mod-tools by merely releasing their assets with an Unreal Editor, which came with all of the strings attached. They cannot just simply redistribute it on Steam.

Nope, I got vortex. June-July is usally when steam has their sale so when they offer 80-90% off mw5 I might look at the price. I just spent $30 on gog last night for their spring sale and got 4 games with dlc none of which made in any way or have any connection to pgi.
