Has The Game Became More Optimized? What Cpu/gpu Do I Need To Have A Really Smooth Experience?

My previous rig had been - intel i5-2300, 8gb ram, 1060 3gb. And the game was really unplayable. I mean on some maps you could only play when half of the team is dead. (The FPS grew progressively, with each mech dead)

I recently changed my cpu - to xeon 2660v3, 32gb ram, 1060 3gb. And the game became much more fluid. It mostly 60-80 FPS. But sometimes it stutters.
What rig do I need to play the game comfortably?

And what do you think? Has the game became more optimized recently? Or vice versa?

I play medium settings (to see better) with a ryzen 5 3600x and an amd 5600xt on a X570 MB, 32G ram @3466 and average 110 fps in the game with some maps around 150fps not in battle @1440p

no the game is on an antique game engine that is not optimized for modern hardware.

also why the xeon, thats a server cpu. you need something with a higher clock than the max turbo on that. game is still very cpu clock limited. cryengine was built on the prediction that we would be up to 5-7ghz on mainstream processors by now, but moore's law tanked and we got perhaps 4ghz (with turbo) processors with an absurd number of cores that games dont use. im running 4ghz 8086k (a high binned 8700k) that can cut the mustard even though its a few years old.

gpu should be fine. the 3gig card may be a little weak for anything more than 1080. but you will probibly need to drop the texture quality on that one. i ran with the 6-gig version of same and it was quite workable at 1440. going up to a 2070 super enabled me to run in 4k.

Need >= 4 core >= 4.5ghz Intel processor or >=4 core >=4Ghz AMD Zen series processor. Your video card is probably enough, this game isn't visually demanding but is very demanding on the CPU in multiplayer. (This why testing grounds FPS is much higher than real match FPS on the same map)

The best way to "Optimize" the game......
As many others have said in the past......
Would be to port it over to Unreal Engine.

But we all know THAT is not going to happen.
