Easter has nothing to do with Christianity. It's a Hallmark holiday to make people buy lots of chocolate and egg coloring kits.

No, the easter bunny is a pagan hallmark holiday. Easter celebrates the physical resurrection of Jesus Christ. Without a risen savior then death is not conquered in the afterlife. I recommend the book of Roman's, around the 7th chapter.

Now....que all the anti-Christian haters......thank you!

Praise, for He has triumphed over Death.

Although, I guess he's only on the second Mech in his drop deck now. I wonder what the other two will be?

see? It’s an internet holiday, celebrating how fast speeds are now. Back then, it took three days to re-spawn!

Maybe he was in QuickPlay and it took him 3 days to get a new match. He suffered with terrible matchmaking to spare the rest of us!

Some guy at 9gag said it was really Ishtar, the mesopotamian goddess of fertility and all other NSFW. Googled it, bunch of articles came up, and there's that.

Eh, it is what it is. It was a lot easier to convert the locals when you told them they could still have their same festivals, just with new meanings. Rabbits and eggs? Decorate a tree? Celebrate the solstice? We can do that, come on in!

Thank God we have 9Gag to figure out what 2,000 years of theologians and Priests couldn't! We better let our past two millennia of stupid ancestors know that all the great things they achieved in the name of Christianity was just a misunderstanding of some mythical trollop.

I don't hate it. Fanclub is annoying though. Some fancy themselves like Saint Lorenzo Ruiz as if disagreeing with them is equivalent to being waterboarded in Japan.

Lol so sensitive.

I really don't care what basically Sye-Ten Bruggencates, Kent Hovinds, Ken Hams, and William Lane Craigs have to say about a bronze-age book of ********. ******** is ********.

Actual scientists, archeologists, and historians on the other hand...

I don't really think of it true or false, not really sure what to do with it. But it's not far fetched considering that a lot of religion, and just like Christianity is built on top of other religions with the baggage of their culture and mythology.

Take Saturnalia for example, turned into christianity. Noah's Flood could be traced back to the Epic of Gilgamesh.

you guys seem to misunderstand, i was speaking to Christians.

I understand if your not Christian, just look at the abuse you all
planted so far, now think of places where people really suffer
for being Christian, they are ***** murdered tortured and
all they would have to do to end it, is renounce their faith, just
say "im not a Christian" and all the pain would go away, but they
dont, but here in the west we do everything we can to appease
people who hate and despise us, we try to make you think we are
perfect or better yet just like you

so have fun its EZ when your target just turns the other cheek, but soon
there wont be any left.

Luke 18...However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?
(No He wont)

It's a message board where everyone can respond. It's really a place where we celebrate MechWarrior and BattleTech than Christianity.

History is a complicated topic. While Christian abuse does exist, Christians doing the abusing is also a reality. So it's filthy rich to portray them like the victim.

Don't be so melodramatic, what you're getting is mere criticism and disagreement, not getting waterboarded in japan or hung or beheaded in the middle east.

Internet is where religion comes to die. So probably don't go to the internet.

As a fellow Catholic myself (I consider myself more spiritual than religious since I do not follow modern Catholicism with a blind eye), I wouldn't get mad at PGI for not having an Easter event because they would have to most likely conform to other religious holidays as well. The two most sour subjects that anyone can bring up from the real world at the dinner table is politics and religion. I wouldn't want PGI doing the same for MW:O like honoring BLM and other crap.

Edit: I also just remembered about Father Bill who is an active streamer for MWO, which PGI has actively recognized in past events before.

religion has been a beast throughout the history of humanity. it mutates form every few thousand years, steals from the previous iterations, goes through its schisms and reformations. its calm periods and its great upheavals that grind their competition under their boot. its favorite pass times include mass murder, deleting/revising history, and enabling the power hungry to control the masses. even science is starting to go down that path with self proclaimed atheists being just as preachy. corporatism as well. they too will have their crusades and jihads. and in a few thousand years people be having this argument over formerly christian (and other currently practiced religions) holidays. no true religion would need to come at the point of a sword or the muzzle of a rifle. such things are merely an application of power by other humans.
