Advanced Zoom Sensitivity

Is there any in-game solution to this issue that I'm missing? Or perhaps a better solution than the one I'm using presently?

I could maybe tweak 2400 down a bit for normal gameplay, but 800 feels right when advzoomed.

Yes. I have 1000DPI and 0.1 sensitivity for normal aiming and 750 DPI for sniping. Your 30% is unusually high.

the BEST thing you can do around advanced zoom is to NOT use it.
srsly, spend the points somewhere else and shoot pixels at the horizon with standard-zoom.
adv.zoom costs not only points, but has a whole bunch of disadvantages hardwired into it - which all are gone THE MOMENT you learn NOT to use it

I used G402 with the "thumb" button to reduce mouse sensitivity but by keeping it pressed in advandced zoom.
It took some time to get used ot it but in the end worked very well.

It is a shame, that pgi does not offer a separate speed for advanced zoom.
I run 700 dpi with 0.23 and only use advanced zoom in faction, if I can't see the target in 1700+ ranges

The low DPS is "toggled" on and off with a mouse button. You need two stages to fast swap back and forth.
First, set your stage limits to TWO in Mouse -> Performance
Then, set one of those stages to mega low (like 400-500) and the other what you normally use
Then go to Mouse -> Customize -> set a mouse button to "cycle up or down sensitivity stage"

I used advzoom as a noob and hated it, so I played for a thousand hours or so without it. Now I'm going back to it, and it's a major force multiplier when used skillfully. It's one skill point, and lets me see mechs without leaning towards the screen and squinting, so, while I appreciate your well-meant advice not to use it, I'm afraid I won't be following your advice.
It seems that there's no in-game solution to my question, so I'll just do what others have suggested and stick to my software-based solution of combining advzoom and lower DPI when I click my mouse wheel.
One really really great thing has come out of this thread for me though, and that's the revelation that my DPI and sensitivity was WAAAAY too high. The lower I move it, the better I do. Who knew huh? I guess everyone but me.

not that such a thing would be an industry standard for 20 years

Most good players play with override on.

Your mouse has sensitivity up and down buttons left side of MB1, Use them.
I have 4 times smaller sensitivity for adv zoom than I normally play with.
