I rarely post to the forums, but my unit has been cataloging some suggestions for improvements and fixes for a couple of months now. With MW5's release coming up next month and the apparent new willingness for PGI to listen to the community it seems like it's a good time to chime in. Hopefully once the MW5 crunch ends we can get at least a trickle of small QoL improvements and bug fixes.
1. Simple improvements:
1.1. Give community members a way to request edit access to the wiki. The wiki is outrageously out of date and there is tons of missing information. The last update I found was about 3 years ago. This is a problem for new players looking for information on game mechanics as there are quite a few third-party sources which are also frequently out of date or no longer maintained. Please give us a straightforward way to request access to update the "official" wiki so that the community can converge on a single source of truth.
1.2. Show mech quirks and skill tree bonuses separately in mechlab along with a total bonus value for where they both affect a chassis' stats. It's currently frustrating to figure out where bonuses are coming from and which chassis have specific quirks.
1.3. Either change the behavior where you can't put actuators on an arm with certain weapons or add a tooltip that describes why you suddenly can't add an actuator to an arm.
1.4. Add a tooltip or other indicator in mechlab for components with missile bay doors which states that there will be a delay when firing in exchange for the bay door buff.
2. Miscellaneous minor bugs that don't get enough love:
2.1. ATM/LRM trajectory bug - [Video link here: https://youtu.be/nWAvm-m3Ivk] - this is a rare occurrence, but have noticed it in testing grounds, private lobbies, and QP matches. It can be hard to tell what's happening from first-person perspective, but the effect is clearly noticeable from third-person. We are not sure of the cause, but it seems to be map-related as it happens much more frequently in private lobby matches on the test maps.
2.2. Names and ready status occasionally fail to display properly in groups. This has been an issue for a long (long long) time. Just reiterating that it is still there because we encounter it regularly.
2.3. Unlink flamer ramp-up/down - either make the flamers which aren't being fired ramp up much more slowly than the ones which are being fired or not at all. I'm not certain that this is actually a bug, but it definitely seems like it is one.
