Well, there is 3D printing.
While it's an extremely legal grey area, or red area. A good 3D artist could extract the model info, apply the normal maps as displacement maps, recompile the model in high poly, then export to STL to print in a 3D printer.

It would be even more awesome if these came unpainted and unassembled...we could pose them and paint them in the colors of our merc units and glue on different accessories and it would be totally AWESOME! Maybe I could use them in games of Warhammer 40k when I can't find my Titan...

"Hey Pete, (that's my real name) what in the name of THE EMPRAH is that thing?"
"Oh, that? That's just a MechWarrior Online figure that's proxying for my Titan. It's back home and I haven't finished painting the dang thing."
"Oh. Okay. Anyway, back to that shooting roll..."

FigurePrints. Not just for WoW anymore. Would love to customize my Mech here with decals, patterns, etc and then have FP whip one up just like it that I can proudly display on a shelf, desk, wherever.

Great idea. I already bought the full set of mechs announced so far from IronWind, but (don't tase me for heresy, bro), I've never liked their figures: too little paintable detail.
These new images are *much* better. Assuming good quality, I'd rebuy and repaint.

Make them fit the original tabletop maps, and I'll buy a run of them.
