In all seriousness though, that type of stuff leads to less fun and more frustration. It's cool for a simulator/MW5 type game, but for PvP.... it just becomes a source of frustration.
Slow convergence was fundamentally broken. No matter how long you stood still, you simply couldn't converge on the correct range while leading targets.
I think Bloom could still be successful. It exists in plenty of competitive shooters which have been far more successful than MWO.
My useless pie-in-the-sky magic wand design overhaul is one reticle per weapon. Pinpoint wherever that reticle is pointing, but let the reticles wander inside a bloom radius and shake with movement and recoil. There's zero randomness - shots go exactly where the reticle is pointing when you click - but the odds of landing a bunch of simultaneous shots to the same component are close to nil unless you're standing immobile on a peak somewhere.
