Sorry, it's already too late for that, you've already proven you don't. Seriously, I can take a flamer light out in tier three and still not lose PSR. Okay, kid, look, it's obvious you've not spent much time on forums, so let me give you a bit of advice. If you say you're new or you need help people will take your word for it. If you say you know what you're doing, people will look for evidence, so point to it.. This also pertains to real life. Don't just made veiled allusions you can't back up.

If you get defensive over a bit of criticism it only shows the depths of your ignorance. If you wanna argue with someone, and have folk take you seriously, put some effort into your arguements. Something more than just 'nu uh, you're wrong'. A weak comeback only erodes your own stance. I have some trash builds that worked great for me starting out, and heck I admit to still dropping in flamer lights from time to time. I understand wanting to defend them. But you do yourself a disservice if you make arguements like 'I could do better, but I choose not to.' Which is, by the way, how I read yours.

Think it over, there's no shame in learning from greater pilots, even if you don't care for meta builds or tactics, there's still solid takeaways you could glean if'n you choose to.

Just wondering... why are you 99.5 / 100 tons? Maybe allocate .5 tons of armor to the arms where you have ammo?

Don't bring common sense to a illogical argument. That has absolute no place you naughty individual.

I mean even more so that fixing the 0.5T just do this: AS7-D-DC but you know... Is easier to complain about something sometimes Posted Image

I tested this to be sure.

you can see that ammo explosion happens (as indicated by the flame jet on the mech's shoulder, and sudden arm destruction from yellow internal, which is the result of 7 ton ammo chain reaction)... but explosion is contained within the case-protected arm.

What the OP has experienced needs more detailed analysis as to what happened... might have been a bug, might have been an old build which he forgot to put CASE on and thought he had it. Happens to me sometimes... thinking I have something in my mech, but then when I check, I remember that I didn't have it.

Well isn't that some irrefutable evidence if ever I've seen it.

Great job!

actually the .5 was from case after the change i just didnt realise and yes i agree a bug because yh only way i can explain it like the bug where head ammo is used first and steath doesnt quite activate steath should cxover heat sometimes ive been noticing it isnt yh ill switch to 3rd person and have a look at my mech

actually i been playing for about 5 yrs about 5000 hrs so yh skilled pilots pfft ive killed most of you allready pmsl meta builds ive tryed them all as for tactics what nascar pmsl that isnt a tactic haha jesus tactics pmsl if anything ive played out some great tactics in the old steath atlas bait n destryo where a light has baited another mech or 2 while i come up from behind or vice veca hell ill watch my team nascar around in cicles while i watch and wait for my oppurtunity to do a side flank or even just the old steath out in the sticks ,lol ive even had my stealth atlas right in the middle of enemy death balls so many times( damn thats funny as hell, actually makes me wonder if half the guys running steath have seen me and tryd coping me yh im the original steath atlas pilot i had steath on the day it come out ) thing is you think i havent treyds all the builds because ill tell you i have this build is by far the most effecent heat dmg range cooldown wise so instead of critising me how about you actually try it for youirselvesa huh because ill say ive probally run any build youve played esp if you play the metas i mean is that all you can build is it meta mechs that others have played no creativity of your own

I'm sorry, but that cannot be possible, because until this patch, IS CASE couldn't be equipped on the arms or legs. So there shouldn't be a 0.5 Ton difference because that case simply could not have existed in your arms on a previous build from prior to the patch.

As Vx said above... How did you have CASE in your arm before the patch?

What are the odds his Stealth armor caused him to overheat and cook off the LGauss. No CASE bug, no armor blowout necessary.

Oh! Wow, can someone test this for science? Can heat ammo explode a gauss type weapon? My curiosity is killing me now!

Overheat damage can and will crit your stuff.

But based on the death screen his right torso is intact. To me it seems like OP didn't have CASE in left arm and the MRM ammo in left arm exploded and cooked its way through CT.

Simple.
