Please Get Rid Of Map Voting

I was all for map voting originally, but we don't have that many maps, and we play about 4 of them.

the problem is how the maps are picked
first the server randomly picks 2 gamemodes
then picks 4 maps that are playable with the gamemodes
atleast this is my explaination why we see less Mining f.e.

This is correct. Not all maps have all game modes available so the maps that don't have incursion walls defined for them never show up if incursion is to be available and so on

PGI has skewed the maps picked in the past, for an event, so it's possible to do but I doubt any are weighted now. What I see come up is Canyon, Mining, Hibernal, HPG, and Tourmaline the most. Those seem to be everyone's favs, and I'd say they're the better designed maps. But certain maps don't come up as often simply because they don't support all game modes, yes. Mining isn't one of them though. Think a lot of people just like that map more.

Being forced to play any map (even the ones you like) several times in a row is boring af.. especially for casual players like me who don't play many matches per day
A good option would be a random map cycle that kept track and automatically balance the number of times each map is played
That way every map would be picked the same amount of times

You already get plenty of time to grab some refreshment because you don't have to pick anything. Just make sure to be back before the match starts.

But I digress. A lot of the issue is the lack of maps in the game and the game modes that go with them. Besides, I like rocking the vote with my x4+ to a hot map so the alpha strike users suffer. It feels pretty good watching mechs shut down and get punished for front loading damage.

as for maps PGi has stated that Canyon is getting an entire rework (a sort of test for their new employee who is going to be handling maps and such from now on). they are also gonna gonna be fixing spawn points. i hope we get fixes to other maps (as this would perhaps be easier on PGI than making a new one) to the same degree as what i have seen for the potential Canyon changes.
