No archievements.
The fastest lights can go and grab one energy to activate one of the bonuses from the home base before the teams start fighting but other than that its better to use your dps to disable enemy mechs than waste time ferrying energy. The mode ends when enemy mechs are dead and the lost teams base gets damaged more than their enemys was.
It is possible to rush the enemy base and try to win without allowing for a fight to happen but this is a tad unsporting and requires more coordination than whats available in quick play

its quite simple, the team that kills enemy mechs first, wins.

Fuel Cell actions increase your C-Bill earnings, add to your Match Score and help you gain Experience.
Check the screenshot to see the rewards you get for picking up and delivering one fuel cell:
