Well you could just paint some mechs for winter, and some for not winter and then play Faction warfare, where you get a minute to rearrange your dropdeck after you get a match.
That is, however, a bit end game.

Sorry, but I doubt there will be any changes here mainly due to the game itself.
All mechs, after a certain distance will appear black showing no colours at all, I believe this is because of the game engines draw distance limitations(I am probably wrong).
Also, A (MWO)Mechwarrior pilot has vision that is based on movement more than colour, this is why a stealth armour mech of ANY size can be walked past by an entire enemy team so long as that pilot does not move. This might not be scientifically proven but there is plenty of video evidence to prove it.

Bio, you are probably right. It was mainly suggested for asthetic reasons. My thougt is: little effort, but great fun.
Leone, in faction play you should have decks dependent on temperature, game mode, and range. It's competitive. I would like more lore, for example mechs with colours of the house played. I am playing this mostly for fun. Being trigger happy, or testing out different versions from the mechlab.
Thanks to both of you for your replies!
