So this is making my game unplayable. Whenever I try to aim down, my mouse cursor will leave the window and end up on my taskbar and if i click to fire, it will just click on the taskbar bring it up and i won't be able to control the game until i move the mouse back up and click on somewhere in the game window again. I looked all over the settings and if there's an option to lock the mouse to the window, I can't find it.

The mouse should be locked by default so there wouldn't be a setting for it.
I've head of this happening to other games and is probably a result of the way you have your computer set up including software choices. Though a game or engine bug might also cause it.
There are various things you can try. Two that I can think of at the moment include trying window mode changes in the game settings and the other is right clicking on the game's exe file and disabling Windows Fullscreen Optimizations.
