Ok, so... I consider myself to be playing on the high end side of things, RTX 3080 overclocked, 10700k overclocked to 5.1, 32gb 3600mhz ram... still, I can't play with raytracing on.

with literally everything set to maximum, 1440p resolution, DLSS to quality, 260 fps on the open, 160 ish on cramped places with buildings and mechs fighting all over. With RT just set to 'on' on both shadows and reflections even with DLSS set to ultra performance the FPS drops to 60-ish-sorta in the open and 30! when fighting next to buildings with tanks and mechs around... not good

on top of all that, fatal errors and CTD left and right, regardless of what settings i use with RTX on. Is there any hope for this game with raytracing?? my drivers are up to date and i simply cant seem to use any kind of settings, even with DLSS on ultra performance its nowhere near good enough... any word on this?

I have a feeling many people are playing with broken graphics and don't even realize it.

I think it is me)
Comparing what i see on youtube and in my game i can't stop thinking that something going wrong.
With RTX game has lots of fatal error.
And more over, some of settings (Vsync, Dlss etc.) every time reset to default. I can change this options only in Gamesetting.ini and it works until i want to change something in game menu - they will reset in this situation.
The same was in EGS version in 2019 the same case at the moment.

with all said, it seems interesting that the steam version imported my epic saves, perhaps something to do with the config files that RTX cannot be used without fatal errors and CTD?

i wonder what exact config files i should get rid of so they get build, however, i started a whole new campaign so unless theres a global config files that would hopefully fix the RTX... uhhh pgi needs to hurry up with the fixes.

I don't have both but its very likely Steam and Epic installs share the same Windows User path for the game saves and config files.

Exactly this is happening.

i think mech reflections in buildings in game is better than it was, but the dropship raytracing is gone. actually i think i like it better this way.

since the upgrade did a lousy job at sanitizing mod directories, it only follows that the user data directories have the same problem. perhaps try removing them and let the game/installer re-create them at runtime. then you can restore just your saves.

i also noticed a dlss quality option in the settings that i dont remember being there before. the game defaulted it to performance. that might be the reason for some of the graphics quality reduction. probibly sets the resolution of the source render before being super sampled to the screen resolution. not 100% sure about this but thats what it might be. anyway after setting it to maximum quality, the game stuttering was really bad, ended up returning it to its max performance setting. im only on a 2070 super mini (the short version of the card has a reduced clock to keep it from nuking itself, but was necessary to fit my current mini itx case), so this makes sense.
