OK, so I have to give praise to PGI for recapturing some of the "WOW" feeling of amazement in some of their MW5 quests.
Whoever is in charge of doing them - give them a raise!
1) The Eyes of democracy quest - OMG, the final mission blew me away. I loved the winding canyon terrain, the roleplay twist at the end, and the long-range combat. Not to mention the mech you get!
2) The Church of Kali quest - I hated the way the Church of Kali treats you, threatening you and stuff, but I understand that it's part of their charm. The final mission - OMG, the sense of wonder when you see all that Lostech.. and the mech you get is also great!
3) The final mission in the quest to get your Archer mech (sorry, forgot the name of the quest), OMG, that was cool.. letting you choose your path.. then the city battle, then the final battle to secure the mech.. Awesome!
4) That crazy mission where you can only take 50 tons, and have to bait 5 mechs to follow you into a bog.. OMG, that was fun! But you really need a fast mech! Can't do it with a slow one, cose' by the end, I was barely standing!
Quests like these prove to me that there are some great Devs in PGI's team, and that when those people are given the right tools, incentive, and time, they can make truly awesome gaming moments.
PLEASE PGI, make more of such moments. You've proven to me that you've got it in you.
I would literally pay for more.

Agreed.
That 50 tonner mission had me pulling out my hair until I actually listened to what Ryana was telling me to do(details, details)then is was a wow moment.
Right now I'm trying to get the Victor and that 2nd mission is a bear, but I made it through.
I hope the next DLC involves the clans(I'm guessing it will). Those should be some great storylines.

Has anyone been able to complete the 'Old Friend' operation?
It is seeking Level 4 but I am above that and it won't go away?

One of the few missions I had to re-run. Managed it with a crab, but having all of those mechs back shooting from the initial contact until you lure them into the trap before being able to turn that front armor toward them made it dicey. Even the second time I finished it with only one leg, cherry red armor all around and only mostly because I found a bit of a corner to hide behind until the ambush mechs drew all of the aggro.
It is tricky, and different from other missions.

After you hit Rep 4, I believe you get one of those View Transmissions where you Accept or Claim something and then you are done with it getting access to Cantinas.

my problem with quests is that they are almost always on the complete other side of the inner sphere from where i am at the time and i dont have the cbills for the trip.
