Hey there,

So I have an issue where the game crashes when i jump to another star systems. I recently updated the game and continued with my original save, but since then, this bug has ruined it for me.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Happened, had to re-install. I think it had something to do with the Mods I had installed.

And then there were also these "reliable" Windows updates.

I had to reinstall the Chipset and GPU Driver bcs it would crash otherwise with nonsense error messages...

...since then no Crash on MW5!


Though i have moddded Civ 6 into crashing...(i try an enormous map with a 62 Civ setting and all kind of gameplay mods.
They enhance the gameplay experience of the deeply underwhelming base game so much you cant play without them and not feel the pain...

I already disabled the comunity UI which is so much better than the inconvenient and clumsy Standard UI...dont Devs not know to make UIs anymore???

(If you look at Windows not even the OS makers have the kowledge preserved...)

Well, a good UI makes the fun nicer to obtain/experience but the Civ mod that changes the gameplay is incompatible with it...

...and a bad UI is a Red Flag in UI heavy games...

As i said, for me aside of the not suited SSD my troubles came probably from one of big recent Windows updates that usually bork one or some of your drivers - reinstall al drivers, reinstall the game, disable all mods, try out if it runs.
If yes enable 1 mod a time and test if a mod is the reason for the crashes.

Also it could be a heat problem, i dont know how the game works bcs i chill my game at 60FPS so it never exceeeds that and runs quite calm and cool but when for some reason your PC display several 1000s of FPS in these black loading screens and cutscenees it could easily overheat in part and crash.

PS: My record FPS is ~4025+ in a MWO loading blackscreen...
