And all events aside, tactical suicide seems pretty common in this game, to the point where it becomes a salt generator. It's not like throwing doesn't happen on a regular basis, in fact too regular.

Win/loss ratio averages out to 1:1 across the community. So if you just play the game and try your best, eventually you’ll get the reward anyway. You don’t have to throw a match, you just have to keep playing.
I like the fact that this event I won’t be constantly checking back to see whether I’ve done enough damage with a certain weapon so I can quit playing that mech and go back to one I like better. I just play and check the event page at the end of the week to scoop up my winnings. The fact that one or more of them were actually “losings” does not bother me.

he is right about the message/tone this "sends". I rather have them set the wins to +3, than promoting what some will claim as an excuse for losing intentionally.
hard enough to get a "good and proper where 24' try their best"-match as it is.

But one loss each on maps you'll be sick of seeing by event's end is not really going to incentivize throwing. Nobody wants a cockpit item that much, and even if they do? It's a problem twice. There's also the idea that some manner of consolation prize that takes some of the sting out of defeat is not a terrible motion for competitive games. yes, the Winnarz won and should win the mostest, but this is a game. The losers still showed up and put forth their best* efforts, and if they played in good faith their time should be rewarded and valued as well. But...eh. Nobody cares about any of that when complaining on the forums, I suppose.

Honestly just play and don't worrie about the getting those 5 wins or play x map so many times the missions will progress naturally over time there is nothing wrong loosing to the better team give it 100% all the time and be happy you tried your best regardless of what happens
