Every single time I play this game, I wish I could hear the old PPC sound effects, or at least a new, higher bitrate and quality version of it. The most terrifyingly awesome sound effect for weapon that ever was in my opinion. just the option to use it would be awesome, that's all i want in this game.

I think there are sound addons or something ,,,,I never tried any of that stuff but i could sworn some one was telling me they had changed sound effects

Haven's soundpack has the classic ppc sounds for IS ppcs in his soundpack, the ones I did for Chonky Gunz were inspired by the screech while doing their own thing. As for all the other soundpacks that would have the classic sound, I don't know how up to date they are.

And there is always the rights issue. Just because pgi got mechwarrior license, doesnt mean they got the rights for all old sound packs
