Cool maps event i failed thanks to the polar wins part, i finally got my 5th win today after trying since it started and when i go to redeem it the event is over.. pretty fail..

Wow that was crazy hard to achieve. Five wins on a map no one wants to play (so they avoid it) and hoping 12 other players win is rng i hope we never see again..

I haven't failed an event in a long time, until this one.

The event lasted two weeks. I think that getting five wins on Polar Highlands was ... doable.

My experience was different. Usually Polar Highlands had about 60% votes, sometimes even more.

Do not be sad. That Arctic Pollux Tank cockpit item is nice, sure, but it is just an item that adds no advantage. If you really like it, you can buy the Desert camo version in the store any time.

I understand your frustration. Lose (or win) streaks are common in mwo (at least to me). Next time, if you start a bad streak, make a break for 6-7 minutes from matchmaking, make a new camo or something like this. This helps to mix up the teams a bit. At least it is my subjective view on the matchmaking.

As for map selection: I am surprised, that no one wants to play it when you are on. Every time this map pops up it get voted unless all time favorites like HPG Manifold or Canyon are up to vote. Even Bog and river city are losing to it on regular basis.

when the event started, it felt like 7out of5 games (yeah..) where on Polar. Actually, even now Polar feels highly popular in the votes I see, so.. maybe you just had a bad streak there, buddy.

anyway: hardly anything in that event that you really want anyway, right? so all is good. relax and good luck in the next event

Depends in the time players started the event. In the beginning if polar came up, pick rate was high. Once some get over with this damn event people want to play everything else but pls not polar. Map events s^#%%# hard, but pgi repeats this mess.

The challenge is over, so let us see how often people will vote for the reworked Polar Highlands when they do not need it for the challenge.

Is there a way to display the matches you played in a given timeframe ?
I got 3 times Polar yesterday evening between 21:15h and 23:20h MESZ. So ...around 10 matches maybe 12...while one very rememberable Polar match even run through the complete match time due to the last two lances dancing around the buildings on oposite mesas firing barrages of PPC and LLaser fire for each other failing to kill each other in time....exciting match. Won 9:7 or so.

Oh yeah? Well I didn't even *play* Mechwarrior this, or last month. Imagine all the events I've failed On the other hand, I did start a lovely new bromance with my new thrall - Kunar The Browkowski, in Conan Exiles. Siptah is just too much fun, and in single player mode you can ghost into the ground to find all your thralls who clipped into the abyss without reseting their equipment. Hurrah!

The majority of June Prizes was fairly standard - albeit nice - stuff (Javelin, Arctic Cheetah, some cockpit stuff, decals, colours, etc.) that you can buy any time you wish. So the only really unique item was that Pollux ADA Tank in Arctic camouflage that I posted above.

I was more interested in a few hundred free MC off the Cool Maps event. And I squeaked it out with less than an hour to spare. (Busy month, what can I say?)

Now we have 300 loot bags coming our way, which is always good for a chunk of MC! Good thing, because I have this War Horn habit to support.

i had to play a second day on that one. but i got it. then i spent the rest of the event stacking votes to avoid playing new polar again.

It took me a long time but I managed it. My issue was that Polar didn't even show up in the vote screen very often.

I've not done many events having quit the game. I am watching to see what, if any, changes happen to improve the 35t class and more specifically the Jenners. Rumors of a re-RE-scale though mostly why I'm here still. Some times I miss piloting the Catapults. Not really interesting in getting an Atlas even though free as I suck with the skull face and can wreck better with the other three weight classes.

Same. It's summer. There's chores to do, house guests to entertain, lots of stuff to get done that are a higher priority than MWO. I didn't finish this one, or the last one fully, and probably won't even make a dent toward the free Atlas. It's fine.

This was me also, except I didn't get it to show enough to even get the matches in, even if I did win them all. I didn't even see it for the first 4 days of the event. First time it did, it got outvoted.... by Solaris City of all things.

The map showed up to vote on for me a total of 4 times, and got outvoted once. OWELLZ I guess.
